We often hear that yoga is 5000 years old. Historical evidence suggests that many modern yoga poses only emerged in the twentieth century. Debates about "authenticity" in yoga can get contentious. This workshop provides an accessible introduction to the history of modern yoga poses and summarizes recent debates. Throughout this interactive workshop you will be invited to practice yoga poses, share your ideas, and reflect on your beliefs about yoga history.

Space is limited, so registration is required. This is free for members of The Marsh and $12 for non-members. There is no online registration. You must register at the front desk of The Marsh. If you would like me to add your name to the list, please let me know.
